š Traffic Report
Keep your eyes on the road⦠dynasty news chaos ahead.

šØ Rashee Rice just got sentenced ā 5 years probation, 30 days in jail, and over $1M in civil settlements for a multi-car, high speed crash in 2024. The judge will allow Rice to find times to serve the jail sentence.
Yeah, heāll almost certainly be suspended. Experts are predicting a wide range of outcomes for the suspension. Whether thatās 4 games or 8+⦠the NFL hasnāt said.
But make no mistake ā this is not going away quietly. Heās still penciled in as KCās WR1, but that grip feels maybe a little looser.
Dynasty Quick Take:
If youāre a contender and can get a discount, I still think heās a hold/buy. But be real with yourself ā this might not just be a āheās back in Week 5ā type of deal. Legal clouds donāt clear quickly.
š Jordan Addison pled guilty to a reduced charge (āwet recklessā) after a DUI arrest last offseason.
Translation? Expect a 3-game suspension. Itās not official yet, but itās coming (or something close to it).
Dynasty Quick Take:
The market on Addison hasnāt really adjusted ā and honestly, I wouldnāt panic. It is possible his QB JJ McCarthy may start a bit slower than expected, though. Jalen Nailor and Tai Felton have the opportunity to win some respect & targets in his absence.
š Mike Williams RETIRED. Yup ā the big-bodied deep threat is hanging it up after lingering injuries and a short PUP stint.
Dynasty Quick Take:
This one doesnāt move the needle much unless you were banking on a bounce-back (I truly hope not). Might open a door for a depth guy on the Chargers, but the real winners are the rookies (Tre Harris and KeAndre Lambert-Smith) and Quentin Johnston ā who missed the 525 yard threshold his rookie season and really needs to show something in Year 3. See our 525 Yard Rule Segment from last week for why QJās comeback should be an uphill battle.
š° Second Round Rookies inking deals. The second round rookie contract holdout dam has finally broken. Several high-profile rookies have signed their contracts after trying to get guaranteed money like fellow 2nd rounder Jayden Higgins. Here are the fantasy relevant guys whoāve signed:
Jayden Higgins
Burden III
Shough
Mason Taylor
Terrance Ferguson
Elijah Arroyo
Tre Harris
Jack Bech
RJ Harvey
Dynasty Quick Take:
No real crazy takeaways other than one notable 2nd round omissionā¦Quinshon Judkins. See our story last week for more on him. Yikesā¦
āļø Garrett Wilson ā Payday Time. Jetsā WR Garrett Wilson just signed a 4-year, $130 million extension (with $90M guaranteed), Heās now one of the topā5 paid at his position, and that signals serious team commitment to him (and possibly QB Justin Fields).
Dynasty Take: Zero drama hereājust reward for elite consistency. Wilson is a true blue-chip asset locked in for the long haul. I think he outpaces last yearās WR11 (half-PPR) finish easily.
Also some other newsā¦
Najee Harris placed on the Non-Football Injury List following fireworks incident⦠still expected back before season
Noah Fant cut by Seahawks⦠Elijah Arroyo stock š, keep an eye on Fantās destination
Pearsall (Hamstring), Aiyuk (Knee) headed to PUP listā¦Pearsall expected to be ready to go sometime during training camp, Aiyuk not likely to be back before the season starts

š Redemption Routes

Stay with me for a second⦠letās take a look at the 2024 leaders in passing yards:
Joe Burrow
Jared Goff
Baker Mayfield
Geno Smith
Sam Darnold
A few years ago, if you told me that was going to happen I wouldāve laughed you out of the room. Flashback to 2022 preseason:
Baker & Darnold were battling it out for the starting QB job⦠in Carolina.
Geno Smith was doing the same with Drew Lock in Seattle.
All 3 were once top prospects, expected to set the league on fire.
Then they became massive busts.
Then ā redemption.
Now, all three have clawed their way back into fantasy relevance, ripping off top-5 seasons in passing yards. These were players you couldāve had for nothing. Now?
KeepTradeCut values:
Baker ā early to mid 2026 1st
Darnold ā late 2026 1st to early 2nd
Geno ā mid to late 2026 2nd
These are the redemption arcs that pay off big. So... whoās next?
š The Blueprint
Category | Baker Mayfield | Geno Smith | Sam Darnold |
Draft Year | 2018 | 2013 | 2018 |
Draft Pick | 1st overall | 39th overall (2nd round) | 3rd overall |
Bust Phase Team | Cleveland Browns | New York Jets | New York Jets |
Top WRs (Bust Phase Team) | Jarvis Landry, OBJ | Jeremy Kerley, D. Nelson | Robby Anderson, Crowder |
Best Bust Season Stats | 2020: 3,563 yds, 26 TDs, 8 INTs | 2013: 3,046 yds, 12 TDs, 21 INTs | 2019: 3,024 yds, 19 TDs, 13 INTs |
Rebound Team | Buccaneers | Seahawks | Vikings |
Top WRs (Rebound Team) | Mike Evans, Chris Godwin | DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett | Jefferson, Addison |
Age at Rebound | 28 | 32 | 27 |
Common threads:
High draft capital (1st or 2nd round)
Poor early-career landing spots
All flashed at some point before getting replaced
Breakouts came with excellent weapons & new coaching staff
šµļøāāļø The Candidates
Category | Daniel Jones | Kenny Pickett | Zach Wilson |
Draft Year | 2019 | 2022 | 2021 |
Draft Pick | 6th overall | 20th overall | 2nd overall |
Bust Phase Team | New York Giants | Pittsburgh Steelers | New York Jets |
Top WRs (Bust Phase Team) | Slayton, Shepard | Diontae, Pickens | Garrett Wilson, Davis |
Best Bust Season Stats | 2022: 3,205 yds, 15 TDs, 5 INTs | 2023: 2,334 yds, 12 TDs, 9 INTs | 2022: 1,688 yds, 6 TDs, 7 INTs |
Current Team | Colts | Browns | Dolphins |
Current Weapons | Pittman, Downs, Warren | Jeudy, Tillman, Njoku | Hill, Waddle |
Current Age | 28 | 27 | 26 |
š The Pick: Daniel Jones
Vanilla Vick. Danny Dimes. Daniel Jones.
Jones checks nearly every box on the redemption arc blueprint:
ā High draft capital (6th overall)
ā Flashed early ā 3,200 yards, 15 TDs, 5 INTs in 2022 with a depleted WR room
ā Bust phase complete ā run into the ground by a bad offensive line, rotating coordinators, and a front office that never gave him true weapons
ā Now enters a legitimate situation ā with Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, and rookie TE Tyler Warren, a good O-Line, and a strong running game headed by Jonathan Taylor
ā New team, new system, fresh chance ā all that stands in his way is Anthony Richardson (who hasnāt played a full season since high school)
Letās be clear ā this is a gamble. But it's the same kind of gamble Baker, Darnold, and Geno once were ā cheap, forgotten, and one training camp away from fantasy relevance. If Jones beats out Richardson in camp or takes over due to injury, he could absolutely walk into a QB2 season on rushing upside alone.
And right now? He costs less than a 3rd in most leagues. If you're in superflex, this is the kind of low-risk, high-upside depth move that can make your season.
š” The Others: Zach Wilson, Kenny Pickett
My second pick in finding redemption would be Zach Wilson:
ā High draft capital (2nd overall)
ā Tuaās injury history leaves the door open for snaps (similar to McCarthyās injury opening the door for Darnold)
ā Who wouldnāt want to throw the ball to Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle?
Iām a little less bullish on the Pickett situation:
ā High draft capital (20th overall)
ā¬ļø Lotās of QB competition (Sanders, Gabriel, Flacco)
ā¬ļø Worst skill position group out of the 3
ā¬ļø Itās the Browns š¤
